New Statutory Regulations regarding the Migration of Skilled Workers
Back in December 2018, the German federal cabinet drew up two bills on migration and leave to remain. The bill for the law on migrant workers was passed and is designed to tackle the lack of skilled workers in certain industries, including the healthcare sector.
As well as these bills, it was decided to reinforce the administrative process surrounding the migration of qualified healthcare staff. This especially impacts the Visa process as well as the recognition of foreign qualifications.
Healthcare workers from countries outside the EU will be able to stay for 6 months as long as they can speak German and can financially support themselves.
For most job seekers, this alone isn’t sufficient grounds to migrate. We’d be happy to advise you in how to target the right nurses abroad and to get them to join you in the long term. Get in touch! We look forward to developing our projects with you.
